ARTIST PROFILE
Paul Holroyd
Paul was born in Morley, Leeds in 1967 and moved to Batley in his late 20s where he now lives with his second wife.
He first realised his love of art at an early age which led to him taking Art at 'O' level and having 2 paintings selected for display at Leeds City Art Gallery out of a plethora of entries from several West Yorkshire schools. His dream of pursuing a career in movie animation fell by the wayside so he tried his hand at auto mechanics and then several managerial jobs in the leisure industry to support his young family. Eventually he settled into a job at the engineering firm Yorkshire Rubber Linings where he still works today as Quality Manager.
After hearing him mention on more than one occasion over the years how he used to enjoy painting so much, in 2003 Pauls wife bought him some paints and materials for his birthday. He found his way back into painting and has not looked back since. Paul has managed successfully to fuse his love of painting and motorsport to create breathtaking quality images of the iconic Porsche car. To date he has secured commissions from the British race team PK Sport and the American team Petersen/White Lightning.
Paul is in the early stages of a very promising painting career in the motorsport art world. We are happy to be able to offer several of Pauls images which are available in limited editions of only 250 prints worldwide. They are sure to become collectable very quickly.
